Steps
Mix the shortening and eggs first, before adding the cake mixes. Mix very well.
Roll into balls.
Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes, until the tops begin to crack.
Filling
Mix the filling ingredients together and spread on the cookies.
Put two cookies together.
Notes & tips
- Works best on metal sheet pans, not stone (the cookies will rise too much).
- The filling works well if the cookies are frozen first.
